14A- Halfway Reflection
1. Tenaciousness is a competency. What are the behaviors that you have used (or developed) to keep up with the requirements of this course?
During the first half of this course I have noticed that I am on a strict schedule. All of the blog postings are due on Friday and Monday, as well as the small quizzes. Having a set period of time set aside to complete these assignments helps me out a lot.
2. Tenaciousness is also about attitude. Talk about a moment or two when you felt like "giving up." What pulled you through? Do you feel like you've developed a tenacious attitude during the past two months? What experience or experiences most contributed to this?
One moment when I thought about giving up was my freshmen year in college. I had a really bad grade in a class and was debating dropping it. I needed to get a 95 on the final get pass the curse. I decided to study harder and that I could do it. I ended up passing the class. Conversations about others experience pulled me through. I think this class does teach a tenacious attitude.
3) Three tips. What are three tips you would offer next semester's student about (1) fostering the skills that support tenacity and (2) developing the 'tenacious mindset' ?
The first tip I would give it to be ver organized. Organization is important to the tenacious mindset because it keeps everything stable. The second tip I would have is to use you resources. Lastly, I would say to make a strict schedule and hold yourself to it.
