18A Create a Customer Avatar

My application can be used by all people. I have specifically targerted college students who living in their college town. This is due to the amount of bars that are usually packed into small areas near big universities.
My prototypal customer is a someone who lives in a college town, enjoys night life, and has a large social life. Stereotypically, this is many college students. These students work hard on school all day long and often times are up all night studying to pass an exam. With all of this hard work they often want to decompress. this often involves going out. Midtown at UF is a perfect place to do this. There are many bars and restaurants all over but often times the lines are so long. This customer often leaves the bars and goes home or to somewhere in a different area just to avoid the lines. This makes it hard for them to see all their friends. This customer is a perfect example of the work hard play hard lifestyle. They often drive scooters and live in small apartments. Their entire life is school and their social life.

    Hey Eric,

    You did a great job demonstrating your customer avatar and showing the demographics and people who you are targeting with your application. Being a college student comes with stress and a lot of hard work so obviously people want to go out and drink at night with friends. Your explanation of a customer is spot-on. This gives a thorough explanation and does a great job overall. Overall, great post and details.

    Great job creating your customer avatar! I agree that your avatar would be the stereotypical college partier. Do you think you would identify with any of the qualities? I feel like at UF we have a really good balance between going out and our academics.

    Hey Eric!

    Awesome job creating your customer avatar! From what you described, it seems very skewed toward your target audience, that being a party crowd. As college students, we are constantly swamped with school and studying so being able to let loose and have some fun is crucial. I think finding a balance between the two is a necessary component throughout our time at UF and the same goes for those at every other university. Nice work!

One of my favorite memories in this class was actually the Elevator Pitch. When the first assignment to do this came, I thought that I would be terrible at it and honestly didn't really understand why we were being asked to do it 3 times. By the time I had finished all three assignments, I defiantly understood. Each time it became a little bit easier and came out a little bit better. It was cool too see the improvement. 26A- Celebrating Failure

1. Currently I am enrolled in Business Finance. This class is extremely challenging and the only thing that counts towards the final grade are the 3, 20 question exams. While studying for these exams, I learned that the best way to learn the information was to try and often times fail. Practice problems are the key. I would try out a new problem type. Usually, I would get the problem wrong, But as I tried more, and gained more reputation with each problem, I would start to get problems correct. 2. This taught me that sometimes failure is important. We can learn from our mistakes if there are no mistakes made. This attitude can help people ensure that they are making the most of their time and continually educating themselves. 3.  I think that failure is extremely important. Opportunity:  Since my first day as a college student of the University of Florida, I have noticed a problem that most students seem to agree on. Later at night, the restaurants and bars are often crowded and demand waiting in line for long periods of time. Students constantly complain, and there is no way to make plans ahead because no one knows what establishment will have a long line and which ones wont. Changes in the environment have actually made this a larger opportunity. As the weather gets nicer, more people will want to go out. The other main force is the colleges calendar, as days when there are many exams or no school could affect the wait times at these establishments.
